Overview of the initiative
Introduction to the Hub
The Distance LAB Hub is a remote service platform developed as part of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region-funded project Distance LAB. Its mission is to support SMEs and public sector organizations in adapting to and performing effectively in remote business environments.
Through practical tools and cross-border collaboration, the project equips teams and leaders with the skills and strategies needed to enhance communication, innovation, and sustainability in remote settings. From improving remote team management to making use of AI and digital tools, Distance LAB helps organizations navigate the evolving work landscape with confidence.
All tools developed through the project are tested in real workplaces and freely available for use. Distance LAB project fosters knowledge exchange across the Baltic Sea Region, inviting users to access, try out, and contribute to a growing ecosystem of remote business support.

What do we offer
Digital tools
Explore a set of digital tools developed by our international team to enhance remote collaboration, management, and service delivery. Each tool addresses specific challenges in remote work environments: from communication and scheduling to cybersecurity and leadership
in hybrid teams. All tools are freely available for organizations to adopt and adapt.
Living Labs network
Join an international multidisciplinary network of Living Labs designed to test and co-develop solutions across sectors. These labs connect public institutions, SMEs, researchers, and innovation experts across the region, enabling experimentation with user-centric methods, feedback-driven improvements, and real-time collaboration. The network supports knowledge exchange, pilot projects, and continuous learning.
Insight Hub
The Insight Hub is a collection of research findings, expert commentary, and other knowledge gathered throughout the Distance LAB project. It features best practices in remote services, thematic insights on digital transformation, intercultural collaboration, AI in remote work, and more. Stay informed and inspired with regularly updated resources!

labs are located or originate from across the Baltic Sea Region.
